Speaking of breaking the ice, there was this chinese guy in my class last year that was a newbie. And since there wasn't any other seat available, he had to sit with my friend and I. Like the girl, he didn't smile a lot and I thought it was because he was total strangers with us. And so, I decided to befriend him;

Chinese Guy: *remained slient for a few seconds, probably trying to process the fact that I was talking to him*
